About

I am a queer, non-binary, and autistic creative artist who has been writing and illustrating for children for over twenty years.

As a Master Teaching Artist at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I created many plays, musicals, stories, illustrations, and puppets.

As the Director of Arts Programming at the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health, I wrote, directed, and designed Fidgety Fairy Tales - The Mental Health Musicals, Star Power and Friends, and other projects.

I hold a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. In addition to presenting my choreography in Minnesota and New York, one of my favorite dance experiences is playing Madame Bonbonnierre annually in Minnesota Dance Theatre's production of the Nutcracker.

I live in St. Paul with my husband, Paul. My son, Jadon, and I became a family through adoption in 2011 when he was twelve years old.
